How to Fix Bad Credit After Your Identity is Stolen [Video]

Hey Guys, this is Kevin with Family Credit Repair, and today we’re going to talk about what you need to do if your identity is stolen.

When you first notice something on your credit, report it. Go to the police and file a report for that specific account numbers. Now note, there is a one year statute of limitation for reporting identity theft.

After one year, the police may simply think that you’re just trying to get out of paying something. Which is why it’s very important to check all three of your credit reports at least once a year.

Also be sure to check the rest of your credit reports to make sure that every thing is reporting correctly. Because if it isn’t, it may be sure sign that someone is still trying to use your information.
